International Friendly Match: Japan Looses to England

In preparation for the South Africa World Cup, Japan played a warm up game with England on May 30th. Only 7 minutes into the game, defender TANAKA Marcus Tulio scored the first goal. However at 27 and 38 minutes in the second half, England score two goals against Japan. The game ended with a 2-1 loss for Japan.

Asian Futsal Championship Japan Third Place, China Forth Place

Asian Futsal Championship was held at Uzbekistan on Mat 23rd to the 30th. There are 4 teams under EAFF, China, Chinese Taipei, Japan and South Korea. Japan came in third place, while China came in fourth place.

Women’s Asian Cup: Silver for Korea DPR, Bronze for Japan

The 2010 Women’s Asian Cup was held in China from May 19th to the 30th. Four teams of the AFC East, China, Japan, Korea DPR and Republic of Korea, all participated to qualify for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Korea DPR and Japan both qualified for the 2011 World Cup with Korea DPR taking silver, and Japan taking bronze.

International Friendly Game Between Greece and North Korea

Korea DPR. who already got the qualification to play in the World Cup, had a warm up match with Greece in Austria. The result was a 2-2 draw.

On the 26th of May, the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) announced the latest world rankings.

Korea Rep. beat Japan in an International Friendly Football Game

Both the Japanese and Korean national football teams, earned the right to play at the South Africa World Cup. The two teams played a friendly game in Saitama on May 24th . The Korean midfielder Park Ji-Sung from Manchester United struck first and the substitute forward Park Chu-Young added a penalty goal. Korea won 2-0.

Nagasato’s Potsdam wins the prestigious Women’s European Champions League

On May 20th, with the lead of Yuki Nagasato, the German champion, Turbine Potsdam won the women’s version of Champions League.

2010 AFC U-16 Championship brackets drawn

The AFC U-16 Championship will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from October 24 to November 7. The brackets have been created already. The three countries under AFC East, who will participate in the tournament, will be China, Japan and DPR Korea. The three teams, who reach the semi-finals in this tournament, will have the opportunity to represent Asia at the FIFA U-17 World Cup next year.

China overcame top German Club Team Leverkusen 3-0 in an International Football Friendly

China’s National Team beat German club Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in a friendly match.

International Friendly Football Game Korea DPR Suffered a Loss from Paraguay.

Korea DPR’s football team lost to Paraguay 1-0 on Sunday in an exhibition match in Nyon, Switzerland.

Korea Rep. International Football Win the World Cup Warm-up

Korea Rep. national team will soon go to South Africa. They had a warm up with Ecuador on the 16th May. This was the last warm up in Korea. Late goals from LEE Seung yeoul and LEE Chung Yong gave Korea Rep. a 2-0 win over Ecuador.

The AFC U-19 Championship 2010 draw confirmed

The AFC U-19 Championship 2010 will be played from October 3 to 17 in China. There are four countries under AFC East China , Japan, DPR Korea and Korea Rep. who will participate in the tournament. The top four teams to proceed to the semi-finals will qualify to participate in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia.

Asian Football Confederation Cup (AFC Cup), China Hong Kong Team (SOUTH CHINA) Eliminated, Not Taking Advantage of the Chase

In the International Competition of Asian clubs, during the Round of 16 knock-out round of AFC Cup on May 11th, South China Hong Kong was the only AFC East Asian team to play a home game against Riffa (Bahrain).

AFC Champions league Four Korean teams entered top 8

On May 11th and 12th, The AFC Champions League conducted the Round of 16 for the 8 team knockout. Of the East Asian clubs, South Korea's POHANG STEELERS, JEONBUK HYUNDAI MOTORS, SEONGNAM ILHWA CHUNMA, and SUWON SAMSUNG BLUEWINGS are the resulting winning teams, eliminating China’s and Japan’s teams. The four teams beat their respective opponents, qualifying for the next Top 8 Knock-out Round. The quarterfinals will be carried out in September.

Democratic People's Republic of Korea Publishes the Roster for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

The DPR Korea national team published the 23-man list to participate in the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup in South Africa. Included in the list is the forward HONG Yong Jo, Rostov, the avant-garde AHN Young Hak, Omiya squirrel, forward JONG Tae Se, the Kawasaki striker, avant-garde KIM Yong Jun, Chengdu Blades, etc. Four overseas players were selected. The North Korean national team in World Cup group stage will be against Brazil, Côte d'Ivoire and Portugal.

The Japan national team 23-man squad list is released for the FIFA World Cup South Africa

On the 10th, the Japan Football Association announced the Japan national team 23-man squad list for June's FIFA World Cup South Africa.

Of the East Asian Football Federation players playing throughout European leagues this week it was Russian Premier League club CSKA MOSCOW's Japan national team MF HONDA Keisuke and TOM TOMSK's Korea Rep. national team MF KIM Nam Il who drew the most attention in their head to head battle. Both players played a full match and HONDA put in a good performance to help his side, CSKA MOSCOW, win 3-1.

SOUTH CHINA progress to the finals tournament: AFC Cup

The final round of the Group League macthes in the AFC Cup, an Asian regional international club championship, were played on April 27th and 28th and 2009 semi-finalists SOUTH CHINA (Hong Kong) clinched progression to the finals tournament.
