On the 7th China PR national team MF ZHOU Haibin who had played for China Football Association Super League (CSL) club SHANDONG LUNENG up until last year signed a contract with Dutch giants PSV. The contract is for one year with another one year extension option. PSV have announced the signing on their official website.
Born in 1985, ZHOU Haibin joined the China PR national team squad in 2003 and was selected on the team that finished runners up at the 2004 AFC Asian Cup (China PR). He played twice at last February’s East Asia Football Championship Finals 2008 held in China PR, including scoring the equalizer in their first match versus Korea Rep. In August that year he was used as a controlling mid-fielder during the Beijing Olympics and played full matches in all 3 of their games.
PSV are giants in the Netherlands having won the Dutch first division 21 times and the UEFA Champions League once. They have won the championship title consecutively for the last 5 seasons but are currently languishing in 4th place as of February 8th.
