KASHIMA Antlers and GAMBA Osaka win: Second day of J-League Round 11

On the 25th 2 J-League matches were played on the make up day for Round 11 due to KASHIMA Antlers and GAMBA Osaka having played in the AFC Champions League.
Last season’s champions KASHIMA played at home to 10th place OITA Trinita. KASHIMA were without a win in the last 7 matches but in the 66th minute MF OGASAWARA Mitsuo’s left sided corner was met by substitute MF DANILO Gabriel de Andrade who headed in. They protected their one goal led to win 1-0 and move up to 4th place. Last year’s 3rd place GAMBA Osaka played KYOTO Sanga FC. It was 0-0 until the 54thminute when FW LUCAS Severino’s through ball was met by Japan national team MF ENDO Yasuhito who scored the deciding goal with his left footed strike and settled the game at 1-0. They now move up into 5th place.
After Round 13 finished on May 17th, 18th the next J-League Round 14 matches will formally resume on June 28th, 29th.
