East Asian Football Federation

Decisions taken at the 19th EAFF Executive Committee meeting.

EAFF Executive Committee made following decisions at its 19th meeting held in Tokyo on 17 December 2006:

(1)		The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association was approved as a provisional member of the East Asian Football Federation. A provisional member does not have voting rights but otherwise is given the same rights as other member associations.

(2)		The Preliminary Competition for the Men's East Asian Football Championship 2008 shall be held from June 15-24, 2007 in Macau. In addition, the Final Competition to be hosted by China PR will take place in February 2008.

(3)		The Preliminary Competition of EAFF Women's Football Championship 2008 shall be held from July 9-16, 2007 in Guam. The Final Competition shall take place at the same time as the Men's, in February 2008.

(4)		A youth tournament shall be organised jointly with the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) in 2007.

(5)		The 2007 AFC election was discussed, and the four candidates from the East Asian region shall be selected at the next Executive Committee meeting.

The next meeting of the EAFF Executive Committee shall take place in Beijing on February 28, 2007.
