Message from EAFF President
Greetings to all the members of the East Asian football family.
As a newly inaugurated President of the EAFF, it is my great pleasure and honor to greet the wonderful family of East Asian football.
Over the past ten years since the foundation of the EAFF in 2002, men and women's teams of various age levels in our region achieved great results at numerous FIFA and AFC competitions. There is no doubt that we owe this success to all the member associations of EAFF who have worked as a team. I am also confident that this stands as a testimony to the fact that East Asian football has been making steady progress towards the world standard.
The EAFF aims to strengthen solidarity among its member associations through football and by so doing, achieve development of football standard within East Asia. Despite deepening global economic crisis and growing political uncertainties within our region, we need to work together to enhance the profile of our Federation and to contribute to the development of football in our member associations.
In this regard, your active support and assistance will determine the shape of the future for the EAFF. I believe that by strengthening our Federation's financial stability, we can help ensure that all member associations will be able to compete in greater numbers of international competitions. This will in turn lead to further development of football in all our member associations.
With this goal in mind, I will spare no efforts to make the EAFF Men & Women's East Asian Cup 2013 Final Competition a festival for all the football fans of Asia to celebrate and enjoy. I am confident that we can work together to create a better future for the EAFF family.
Thank you.
Mong Gyu CHUNG
