The opening match of EAFF E-1 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 FINAL KOREA REPUBLIC was held at Busan Gudeok Stadium, Korea Rep. on December 10th, 2019. The Korea Rep. women`s team welcomed China PR for the first match.

China PR's ZHANG Xin had a great scoring chance during a rush into the penalty area during the 11th minute, but was denied by Korea Rep. goalkeeper YOON Younggeul. YOON Younggeul also stopped PANG Fengyue's scoring opportunity during the 18th minute after PANG received a great pass.

In the 20th minute, Korea Rep. midfielder JANG Chang attempted a free-kick, but China PR goalkeeper PENG Shimeng made a great save. JANG Chang and PENG Shimeng faced off again seven minutes later when the Korea Rep. midfielder made another free kick, but PENG Shimeng made another wonderful save at the top right-hand corner of the net to keep the game scoreless.

In the 38th minute, China PR`s WANG Shuang took a chance in a 20-yard free-kick, but once again Korea Rep. goalkeeper YOON Younggeul was able to make the save.

In the second half, Korea Rep. began to push against China PR`s defense. In the 55th minute, the Korea Rep. goalkeeper made a little mistake when clearing the ball, and China PR substitute LI Ying was right there to attempt to capitalize on the error, but YOON saved it at the goal line.

In the 67th minute, Korea Rep. had another scoring opportunity when CHOE Yuri passed to SON Hwayeon right in front of the net, but SON`s header missed the mark.

Korea Rep. maintained their attack, but China PR put up a good defense. Korea Rep. had two shots on goal during the 88th minute, but China PR`s goalkeeper was able to clear both shots. The match ended in a 0 – 0 draw.
