Shin Sangwoo’s side defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 in their third match of the 2025 EAFF E-1 Women’s Football Championship at Suwon World Cup Stadium on Wednesday, with Ji Soyun scoring from the spot and Jang Selgi doubling the lead in the second half.
The result put the Taegeuk Nangja on top of the table, level on points with China PR and Japan, although the hosts had the edge in head-to-head results. Korea Republic leapfrogged into first place to lift the elusive trophy after a 20-year title drought, whilst China PR finished runners-up with Japan and Chinese Taipei finishing third and fourth respectively. .....
