Stielike's team beats Kuwait to stretch their win streak in 2018 Russia World Cup qualifying to four games.
October 8, 11:55pm (KST) - The South Korea senior side faced Kuwait at the SC Stadium in the fourth match of round 2 qualifying for the 2018 Russia World Cup. Korea won 1-0. Before this match, Korea had defeated Myanmar, Laos, and Lebanon and the win over Kuwait gave them sole possession at the top of the group. On the other hand with the loss to Korea, Kuwait failed to take the lead of the group.
With the win, Korea takes a step closer to reaching the final round of qualifying for the Russia World Cup as they take sole position at the top of the group. From the eight groups, the group winners along with four of the runner-ups will advance to the final round of qualifying.....
