In the second friendly against Australia, Shin Taeyong's team once again earned a passing grade for their attacking football. The Olympic team won both of their matches with Australia in preparation for next year's AFC U-23 Championship in Qatar. At the AFC Championship they can get their ticket for the Rio Olympics.

October 12 - At Icheon Sports Complex, coach Shin Taeyong led the Olympic team against Australia to a 2-1 win in the 'KEB Hana Bank Invitational Friendly Match'. In the 49' Ryu Seungwoo (Leverkusen) headed in the opening goal, and in the 81' an Australia own-goal confirmed Korea's 2-1 win. In the first match against Australia, Ji Eonhak (Alcorcon) and Yeon Jeimin (Suwon Samsung) scored in Korea's 2-0 win, their first of the year in Korea and a result that gave them confidence going into the second match. Ryu Seungwoo was awarded the KEB Hana Bank Man of the Match (MOM) award.....
