홍명보 감독이 이끄는 남자 축구 국가대표팀(FIFA랭킹 23위)은 25일 오후 8시(이하 한국시간) 수원월드컵경기장에서 열린 요르단(64위)과의 2026 국제축구연맹(FIFA) 북중미 월드컵 아시아 3차 예선 B조 8차전에서 1-1 무승부를 거뒀다. 한국은 전반 5분 이재성(마인츠)의 골로 달아났지만 전반 30분 알마르디에 실점을 헌납했다.
이로써 한국(4승 4무, 승점 16점)은 지난 20일 오만전 1-1 무승부에 이어 다시 한 번 승점 1점에 그치며 다른 팀들의 추격을 허용하게 됐다. 현재 B조 순위는 한국, 요르단(13점), 이라크(12점), 오만(10점), 팔레스타인(6점), 쿠웨이트(5점) 순이다. .....
